In search of a site

We set off today to explore more of Sheffield and hopefully find some garage plots and sites that we could consider in more detail. We had a series of road names where Sheffield Homes managed garage structures, and areas where tenants could construct their own. Unfortunately the first few were impossible to spot on long residential roads near Broomhill, and so we ventured further south towards Gleadless Valley.

There, we found a series of double garages under maisonettes, where some were apparently vacant. We walked a bit further and found some garages from our list which were clearly mostly empty. These were detached from any housing, and we were able to explore one of them that was open.

We started thinking about ideas to engage the public and try and find out what they wanted to see instead of half-used garages (tea, cake, games and balloons??)
